Welcome to the small town Mount Rose, Minnesota where the annual beauty pageant is cut throat...literally! Girls and stage mothers will kill to be crowned Sarah Rose Cosmetics American Teen Princess with a series of strange "accidents" happening in the run up to the contest.
This 1999 black comedy mockumentary is one of our Make A Scene Film Club's most requested films and has become cult classic beloved by the LGBTQ community for it's dark humour, scabrous satire of small town America and the camp pageant world with ridiculous costumes (including Denise Richards in ahead piece making her one the on the faces on Mount Rushmore) and bristlingly funny performances from a stacked all-female cast that includes Kristen Dunst, Amy Adams, Alison Janney, Ellen Barkin, Brittany Murphy, Alison Janney and Kirstie Alley.
Who will take the crown? Who will make it out alive? Who will sing sings "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" whilst dancing with a life-sized Jesus doll on a crucifix? There's only one way to find out...see you at Make A Scene!
TICKETS ON SALE SOON
Please note: This screening is not a Make A Scene "way-too-interactive screening" meaning audience participation isn't encouraged. We do encourage you to stay around and mingle in the bar after the screening to discuss the film and suggest future screenings.
