FILM OF THE WEEK

LESBIAN FILM ALERT!!! I would describe this as Rachel Weiss and Rachel McAdams lezzing off in a new film from Sebastián Lelio the director of A Fanastic Woman but Jamie Starboisky from Queer Media UK summarised this so much better on Facebook the other day thusly...

"A rich, rewarding and exquisitely performed drama about a woman returning home to the Orthodox Jewish community of north London, it’s a timely, distinctive and emotionally powerful story set at the crossroads of tradition and modernity, of personal desires and the demands of faith."

That should whet your appetite, sounds ace, looks great and it's great to see the filmmaker pushing on and making more queer work after winning the Best Foreign Language Oscar last year.
