The big news for us is the Absolutely Fabulous Joanna Lumley is taking over from Stephen Fry as the BAFTA Film Awards host for 2018, oh and here are the BAFTA Film Award nominations too...

Queered outsider monster movie The Shape of Water leads the nominations whilst gay romance Call Me By Your Name receives a bumper bag of nominations including Best Film. Best Foreign Language nod for lesbian tale The Handmaiden, which is nice to see but not much love for Ladybird, leaving the Best Director field completely male...Natalie Portman is gonna be livid! We're please to see writing, supporting actor and Best British Film nominations for our film of 2017 - Paddington 2!

This is all heading towards The Oscars on Sunday 4th March...we'll be announcing a very special Make A Scene Oscars event THIS WEEK! So keep your eyes glued to our social media @makeascenefilm
