MAKE A SCENE JOIN WITH BIRDS EYE VIEW ON RECLAIM THE FRAME PROJECT
We were so flattered to be asked by Birds Eye View to help create a network of amazing Manchester film fans who want to see more films by and help sing about new films being made by women. It's time to challenge the male gaze and the traditional narrative controlled by male filmmakers - it's time to Reclaim The Frame!
Supported by a BFI Audience Fund Award (who we've been working with a lot recently promoting queer films including 120 BPM and A Fantastic Woman), the RECLAIM THE FRAME - THE INFLUENCER PROJECT will:
- Spotlight 4 new specialised films directed and/or written by women
- in 5 UK cities - London / Newcastle / Manchester / Birmingham / Plymouth
- over 6 months from April 2018
In each city there'll be a network of Influencers who will advocate and champion the films over the course of the programme.
